How to Layer-Up In Style
Staying warm and fashionable at the same time can be difficult. You want to layer up, but you don't want to look like a lump of sausage either. Today we will look at a few different ways to keep it stylish while staying warm.
Here is a cool outfit for those lighter winter days when the sun is shining but it's still cold.
Keaton is wearing a white V-neck undershirt with a navy blue button-up on top. For a shell he has gone light with only a black denim sports jacket. For pants he is wearing some dark gray Levi jeans. To tie the whole look together he adds a scarf with a blue and tan pattern.
Keaton's next two looks show how just a small change can create a whole new outfit. In the picture above Keaton is wearing a red V-neck undershirt with a black button-up over top. He has chosen a heaver coat this time for when there's a morning chill in the air. To complete the look, he has picked up a new scarf of red and black to pull it together.
Similar to the look above, Keaton has gone with the same coat and jeans, but this time he has changed his under layers. Keaton is wearing a white undershirt, with a gray button-up over top. This along with the blue and tan scarf really changes the outfit. This style seems more laid-back just by switching up some colors.
The last outfit Keaton has chosen is for those really frigid days. He has decided to go with a pair of blue Levi jeans this time to give him a more colorful look. For his under layer he has selected a white and tan striped sweater. To keep him warm he has once again upgraded his coat to a heavy navy blue parka. To finish it, he adds a scarf to keep him nice and toasty. The lightness of the sweater gives depth to the ensemble while still keeping it simple.
Experimentation is the key to finding a great layered look. Don't be afraid to go through your closet and try on tons of clothes again and again to get it right. Remember you don't have to look like a sausage to stay warm.
