Sometimes it feels impossible to get the clothes you want without breaking the bank. Today we will go through some simple ways to get the styles you want on a budget.
SALES:
This may seem like an obvious answer, but most people don't know when to shop for the deals. Depending on what it is that you want, different times of the year are better than others.
January and February are the months to buy your winter apparel. All coats and jackets usually go on big sales during this month to make room for the store's new inventory. Suits are also a good item to pick up in January for a low price.
April is a great time to pick up new shoes. With the weather changing so do the shoes people like to wear.
May gives you the chance to pick up some fitness gear for the summer.
July and August are the months to grab your summer apparel.
September is the best time to buy up swimsuits. Stores are basically throwing swimsuits at you to try and get rid of their stock.
October is a great month to buy jeans, so stock up because winter is coming.
If you are just looking for the basics, the best time to get the most deals is always at the end of a season. Most of the stores' clothing stock will be replaced for the new season.
Thrift Shops:
It may not be the first thing you think of when you think about fashion but you would be surprised at what you can find. In fact, our own Keaton found his Gucci shoes at a thrift store. Going to thrift shops can be a little more time consuming, but you can usually find some good diamonds in the rough and save a ton of money too.
The best time to hit up a thrift store is actually when the seasons have just changed. Many people will drop off any clothes they no longer need. Also, if there any nicer cities a few miles away it might just be worth the drive. Nicer towns often have nicer clothes at the same low prices as other thrift stores.
Online:
Lots of stores online have great clothes for lower prices. It's a little bit of a gamble on whether the clothes will fit correctly, but most companies will accept returns with little hassle. If you find a certain article of clothing you really like, but it's a little out of your price range, check and see if you can find it online for less.
